About Stone Street Soaps

My story isn't much different than most, I had a problem and needed a solution for that problem. My skin was flaky and dried up and in the Fall and Winter months it became very itchy and dry. I also suffer from adult acne due to a condition called PCOS(Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome) and sought a product that would be beneficial to my skin. When I came upon a local crafter I knew, I had to give her soap a try. I quickly fell in love with how the soap made my skin feel after each use. No longer did my skin feel dry and flaky, but it felt smooth and soft, and so my love affair began. I never thought of myself as a crafty person. I did plenty of research about soap making and aroma therapy over my years trying to find something to help my skin and hormonal condition. However, it took years of research before I crafted my first batch of soap, and I am so glad I finally did! One thing I love about making natural soap through a process called Cold Process(CP) is that I can formulate a recipe to meet the needs of my family, friends, and customers. Cold Process soap has been around for quite some time, and generations upon generations have used this method to create high quality natural soaps. Now you can walk down the bath aisle at the store and find many varieties of soap. If you are like me, I was unaware of how commercial soap was made, adding the detergents and excreting the natural glycerin created when soap is made. The process is far from simple, and if you read the ingredients on the package, you will see they are far from natural. CP or Cold Processed soap is Lye, Water and Natural Oils and when combined, create a chemical reaction called saponification which creates soap! I believe in a superior natural product, which is why each of my soap recipes go through a series of tests before it makes it out to the marketplace. First PH testing to make sure the soap is at its mildest form. Secondly, it is tested on me and family because I would never sell anything to the public that I wouldn't use on myself and family. Lastly, it is tested by my advisory board because I am always looking for ways to improve and learn! So take a look around, contact us with any questions before ordering, and discover pure simplicity at its finest.
